Staff Project
Staff Dates: May 22 -June 19
Hard Skills Training: June 19-26
Staff Cost: $2100 per person
On the Acadia Lifelines Summer Project Campus Crusade staff have a unique opportunity to be trained in Growth Model Ministries.
This is a time of intense spiritual and emotional growth, where staff are expected to be vulnerable, to resolve conflict and to work on their own stages in the process of
bonding, boundaries, accepting good and bad, and adulthood. In addition to heart work, applying the growth model to their lives, they will also work through DICE and practice body evangelism. This project will focus on your attitudes, contri-butions and character, giving you new insight, safe relationships and the tools to build an environment for growth, so “the man of God is thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
As ministers of reconciliation, reconciling people to God and each other, it is imperative that your relationships are authentic and Christ-like, full of grace and truth. We want to provide a means for you to grow in the art of reconciliation.
As staff, you will also be trained in facilitating this type of growth in others. For four weeks, you will develop process learning programs in numerous contexts by which you can facilitate growth among students. You will cultivate skills for establishing a safe group and practicing godly norms, creating a grace and truth environment and at the same time changing students’ lives - helping to turn them into Christ-centered laborers and leaders.
The project is intense. Expect to be challenged and prepare to be changed. It is also fun and incredibly fulfilling. This project will help you be the leader you want to be when it comes to working with your staff teams, working overseas or helping students to grow. We are eager to help you experience all that Christ has in store for you.
We believe this project will free you from the performance that staff are often measured by and will lead to longevity in ministry through positive working relationships. In fact, we believe it will improve all your relationships, including your marriage.
Why this project is unique for Moms and families…
We have redesigned the Leadership Adventure project to be more family friendly and to give moms the freedom to be as involved in the student project as they want. Many factors have helped create the ideal family project environment:
* project ends early, giving families plenty of summer time at home
* most of the outdoor events are day trips, so you are not separated too much
* strategic schedule allows all families to be together and involved in weekend outreaches, church and days off
* full-time project baby sitters available for moms who want to join in a project rock climbing day, go to the grocery store.
